iPhone 2.0 Supports Sending Email from Multiple Accounts
I was replying to an email that Brian had sent me about the pros and cons of MobileMe, and was about to write about how the iPhone will always send email with the From address set to that of the “default” account.
But, for some reason, I wondered if that was still true. So I added my CMU account to the iPhone (in addition to my MobileMe account), started to compose a new email, and saw, much to my delight, that it is now possible to choose which email address to send from! This functionality works in new messages, replies, and forwards.
Perhaps the only downside is that Mail on the iPhone doesn’t automatically choose the From address to which the email was sent, like Mail on Mac OS X does, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see that feature added in a future update.
All-in-all, though, this is a strict improvement, and I’m glad to see it (and be able to use it)!

How exactly did you get that to show up? Mine does not do that no matter what I've tried…

As far as I know, all you need to do is have two (or more) mail accounts on the phone to see that option when you compose a new message. If you have that and it's still not working, let me know, and I'll see if I can help figure out what's wrong.
